i often don't take photographs or show them to anyone anymore because it increasingly feels like a forbidden act. sometimes, the camera is a barrier between myself and the thinness of the world beyond myself.
a friend once asked me, "doesn't it feel nice when someone appreciates what you've shared?"
but then i find myself walking the line between sharing these things i feel so fortunate to have seen, and stripping these places of glances that were not meant to be held for long.
